Full Denial — No-Fault/PIP (New York)
New York no-fault denials must be issued on the NF-10 Denial of Claim form within 30 calendar days of the insurer's receipt of completed verification (11 NYCRR 65-3.8).
Required Elements
- NF-10 Form: The denial must use the prescribed NF-10 form
- Specific basis: State the specific reason for the denial with reference to the policy provision or regulation
- Verification: Confirm that all requested verification was received or that the 30-day window has elapsed
- Arbitration rights: Include notice of the applicant's right to submit the dispute to arbitration
